As you may know, I’ve been away from blogging for an important reason: NaNoWrimo. It’s getting to the middle of the month, and I haven’t quite gotten to 25,000 words. My novel incorporates many internet elements to express plot, or, interactions between other human beings online as it happens in a race against time. I won’t reveal too much about it but if you want to see an excerpt from my NaNoWriMo novel, you can see the excerpt here.
If you want to read my latest Screen Play entry I worked on click here.
If you want to see my reviews for The Ranobe Cafe, you’ll have to wait until I finish reading Brave Story (the 816 page toebreaker of a light novel that is so long, most reviewers on Goodreads.com have never finished it). I want to put in the real effort and get into the bones of it, but most of all I want to know how it ends before I review it. Because I don’t want to be a hypocrite.
If you want to see my Welcome to the NHK inspired photography series Welcome to the ABC click here.
If you want to see my post critiquing Stuff White People Like from an Australian perspective, you’ll have to wait a while as well.

You know half the reason why guys find THIS girl attractive is because she reads books, not just because she’s nerd-hot.
Light Novels get some love from The Ranobe Cafe

The lack of love for light novels and Japanese literature left me with a melancholy too.

Ok, doing a Neil Gaiman style approach to my news update posts. As in, Neil Gaiman’s blog style. Not as in urban fantasy magical realism. But I’ll throw that in if you ask nicely.
A Special Treat For My Reader Homies

Some of you have been wondering “What the hell kinda books does NewGeekPhilosopher/Jacob Martin write anyway?”. Well, when I was younger, this book, Small Worlds: A Miscellany was published with Lulu.com when I was trying to make a name for myself. So far, three people have bought this book, which makes the exercise a (very small) success. What is Small Worlds: A Miscellany anyway?
